what is vision builders?
Vision Builders is the annual campaign of C3 Church Devonport which serves as the opportunity to contribute through giving in a way that is about establishing a home for this church.
Our vision is “the building of a healthy growing church which sees lives transformed and Jesus Christ glorified.”
A building is not the vision but we believe it is an important vehicle to serve the purpose of the gathering of the church. We believe wherever possible this is the best way to make disciples – coming together which is demonstrated in the testimonies of those in the video below.
Dear church,
Sharon and I are continually blown away by what God is doing among all of us.
As I write this letter we are still in the midst of a worldwide pandemic, something that has changed so many lives – some forever – and yet we continue to see the impact of staying focused on the vision of “the building of a healthy growing church which sees lives transformed and Jesus Christ glorified.”
• People have stayed supported and connected throughout the journey through our connect groups (and my personal heroes who run them – you guys are amazing)
• New people continue to join the church which has received added momentum due to the focus of everyone going online and looking for hope
• Lives are continuing to be transformed as seen in the recent “stories of transformation” interviews
• And we are seeing financial giving growing – our church consultant saying that our levels of secondary giving are double what is considered healthy in Australia over the past 12 months
Our desire – our actions – are for a home. I believe due to the inability to meet it has highlighted the importance, the “why” of coming together and therefore the need to have a space that is “set apart” for His kingdom purposes. The power of worship together to replenish a soul – the power of belonging to contribute to mental health – the power of community to overall well-being.
Vision Builders is the opportunity for each one of us to contribute to these very things – to have an impact through our giving – to establish a place that is “set apart” so that we know every investment we make has a return for His Kingdom Purposes and leaves a legacy for our children.
1 Chronicles 29:14 says, “But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand.” (NIV)
We ask you to continue to pray for Sharon and I, and the board, as we negotiate on the way forward – our next steps, which we know with confidence God is directing. And to seek God about how He may have you stretch again, maybe for the first time – in how to give with what He has first given to us – that we may indeed walk into what it is for our lives to be set apart for His Kingdom Purposes.
As your Senior Pastors, we want to thank you for your willingness to get involved, to give in such a way, over and above your normal tithe, to Vision Builders.
Blessings,
Ps. Brian and Sharon

2020 THEME
The theme for this year’s Vision Builders has been based on Romans 12:1-2 where Paul urges the church to dedicate themselves to God, being set apart as a living sacrifice, not conformed to this world but transformed by the renewing of their mind. This aligns with our vision here at C3 Devonport – to see lives transformed and Jesus Christ glorified.
David wrote in 1 Chronicles 29:14 “Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand.” (NIV)
We recognise that our finances have first come from God, and we’re thankful that He has given us the privilege of managing it. Through Vision Builders, we can set apart our finances from what He has first given to us, to see His Kingdom Purposes fulfilled, and that generations to come will see the fruit of what has been set apart and sown throughout this season.
I see throughout this season lives being set apart, made holy, transformed, made ready as a work of His Spirit as we commit to offer not only the giving of our finances, but the giving of our whole lives, a holy offering for “His Kindgom purposes”.

Partnering with Vision Builders.
Our vision is that all would be involved in giving to Vision Builders (over and above their tithes) to see His Kingdom Purposes fulfilled at C3 Church Devonport. Please prayerfully consider the level of giving that you feel is appropriate for you and your family, based on wisdom and faith. The philosophy of Vision Builders is equal sacrifice, not equal giving – and no amount is insignificant.
Plan and write down how you will fulfill your pledge, and keep giving as regularly as possible so your commitment doesn’t become a burden.
Once you’ve decided on your level of giving, you can make a formal commitment to give whatever sum of money you feel God is asking you to give. Once you’re ready we encourage you to make a formal commitment by clicking the PLEDGE button below or completing a commitment card at our in-person Sunday service.
Experience shows that a “First Fruits” (deposit) commencing sum then regular monthly giving is the best way of fulfilling commitments. You can also set up recurring giving through direct deposit for the sake of convenience. You can find our bank details here.
